{"id":8441,"date":"2022-10-10T10:47:21","date_gmt":"2022-10-10T07:47:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tudors.academy\/training-activity-at-reus-spain\/"},"modified":"2022-10-10T10:47:21","modified_gmt":"2022-10-10T07:47:21","slug":"training-activity-at-reus-spain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tudors.academy\/it\/training-activity-at-reus-spain\/","title":{"rendered":"Training Activity at Reus, Spain"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><strong>What was the occasion? <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>As TuDOrs outputs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>a <\/strong><strong>Digital Compendium <\/strong><strong>of innovative and effective practices and tools in teaching foreign languages (FLs) to people with Learning Disabilities (LDs), <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>an On-line Training Course and <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>a Self-assessment Tool, both developed for teachers\/trainers of foreign languages (FLs), to people with Learning Disabilities (LDs)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>are reaching their phase of finalization, and soon they will be at everybody\u2019s disposal (see more <a href=\"https:\/\/tudors.academy\/outputs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>), the project\u2019s partners organized a three-day training activity, for teachers\/trainers of foreign languages (FLs), some previously engaged in the preliminary implementation phases of the project.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>The agenda<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The training activity was hosted by <strong>Associaci\u00f3 de Programes Educatius \u201cOpenEurope\u201d <\/strong>based at Reus, Spain, and co-organised by all project partners from Slovenia, Ireland, Italy, Romania, Spain, Cyprus, and Greece (find out who they are <a href=\"https:\/\/tudors.academy\/partners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>), took place from Wednesday 31<sup>st<\/sup> of August until Friday 2<sup>nd<\/sup> of September 2022. The Training activity\u2019s agenda included presentations by respective partners, regarding all three project\u2019s outputs, and various training sessions.<\/p>\n<p>Namely, the training sessions showcased activities that participants were invited to carry out in groups, aiming at their in-depth familiarization with methodologies, strategies, techniques, and tools that can be utilised by teachers, trainers, and educators of foreign languages (FLs) to people with Learning Disabilities (LDs), such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Simulation of the <strong>Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Multiple implementation scenarios based on <strong>Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Presentations on how to <strong>address learners with different learning difficulties and how to optimally integrate them in the educational environment<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Cases based on proper <strong>adaptation of generalised teaching tips for learners with different and\/or multiple learning difficulties<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Different hypothetical cases that involve <strong>adapting the Montessori Method to adults with language learning difficulties<\/strong> and call for a holistic approach to them.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/tudors.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/tudors_12-9_img-1024x357.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7227 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/tudors.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/tudors_12-9_img-1024x357.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"357\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tudors.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/tudors_12-9_img-1024x357.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/tudors.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/tudors_12-9_img-300x105.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tudors.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/tudors_12-9_img-768x268.jpg 768w, https:\/\/tudors.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/tudors_12-9_img-624x217.jpg 624w, https:\/\/tudors.academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/tudors_12-9_img.jpg 1205w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Participant&#8217;s feedback<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Participants, i.e., project partners\u2019 representatives and FL teachers, trainers, educators had the opportunity to learn about the project\u2019s results, to be acquainted with new and innovative learning methods and techniques addressing students with learning difficulties, to interconnect with each other and exchange knowledge, experiences, and ideas.
