Introduction
In this module, we highlight some selected examples for implementation in the classroom.
The module presents five selected examples of exercises for working with students with learning difficulties: discrete trial teaching, picture exchange communication system, game-based learning, multi-sensory and oral language skills. All examples are generally described and also contain links to more references, so learner will be able to explore the methods even further.
Learning Outcomes
After completing this module, the learner will be able to:
- Become familiar with selected examples and exercises for teaching students with learning difficulties.
- Understand the various techniques and apply them in the classroom.
- Gain skills and competences that will contribute to learning, inclusion, and involvement of the learners.
- Gain knowledge on different resources, ready to be used in the classroom.
- Recognise the importance of practical work in learning environments, specifically when dealing with students with learning difficulties.
Duration
Approximate time which learners will need to go through this module is three hours.
Requirements
There are no specific requirements to do this module. The only necessary thing is a computer and internet connection.
